The Education Zone is an up close and personal experience for festival attendees to get to know the groups and organizations that protect our community and keep our oceans safe and clean.
USCG ZONE
Come visit the United States Coast Guard Zone, where several teams will show off and explain their service. The USCG Auxiliary team share how they help commercial and recreational boaters, climb on USCG boats from Station SF, and check out unmanned drones and boats from the Air Station SF. There will also be a 47′ boat at the docks you can walk through, and the Pacific Strike Team will have their Command Trailer available to walk through!
USCG RESCUE DEMO & FLY-BY
Come early and see the USCG Rescue Demo in the Outer Harbor of Pillar Point Harbor. Starting at 10:30AM on Saturday, Air Station San Francisco will run a helicopter rescue demo. Set up on the shore near HMB Brewing Company.
At 11:00AM on Saturday, to kick off the festival, Air Station Sacremento and SF will conduct a fly-by of their aircraft, right over the main festival area.
SeaHugger
Sea Hugger is a nonprofit organization focused on protecting and healing the marine environment from plastic pollution through action and education to drive systemic change that addresses the root cause of the issue. Come visit our booth to learn how you can make an impact too!
SAN MATEO COUNTY SHERIFF
The San Mateo County Sheriff Recruiting Team, along with the Sheriff Activities League, will be in the Education Zone, giving festival attendees information about how the Sheriff department works with the local community, as well as creating opportunities that guide children toward their full potential through impactful programs, which foster relationships between deputies, youth, families, and the community.
