About us

The Mavericks Festival is an annual celebration of the opening of the Mavericks surf season, which runs October to April. The festival is a fundraising event with the goal of raising funds for the prize money for the Mavericks Awards, along with money for our non-profit partners who support our coastal community. The goal of the festival is “Have fun & celebrate”, and our aim every year is to put on a party that is enjoyed by surfers, spectators, community members, businesses and sponsors.
